The enemy lost more soldiers than me, so why did I lose?
The battle is decided by the two armies' total power, not by how many soldiers died. The Reason for defeat line at the top of the report says this.
How it works
- The defender's power includes its garrison, walls and posts; tactic, banner and unit advantage multiply the power.
- Losses are counted in proportion to the army's size: a big garrison can win while losing more soldiers than you.
- In a city battle the fight on the field decides the result; the report gives the reason (e.g. Time ran out · the wall held).
Step by step
