Population, village ring and horses
In worlds with the population rule every soldier and worker comes from the camp's idle population; cavalry also needs horses.
Unlocks: In worlds with the population rule (new worlds and Ötüken Land – Season 3); the top of the Army screen shows the population board and the Village Ring. In the 3D city the fields lie outside the walls.
How it works
- Each soldier spends 1 idle population when the training order is placed; at least 100 population stays in the settlement.
- Mounted Raiders and Heavy Cavalry also spend 1 horse per soldier.
- Dead soldiers do not return to the population. Disbanded soldiers, and for cavalry their horses, come back up to the limit.
- The village ring is the work fields around your camp: Forest (wood), Quarry (stone), Iron Deposit (iron), Fields (food) and Pasture (horses). Each field takes up to 100 + 50 × Founder's Tent level workers; every 40 workers raise that field's output by 1%.
- In the 3D city these fields are places outside the walls: Farm and Pasture flank the south gate, Forest is at the forest edge to the west, Quarry and Iron Mine are behind the north wall. Each field's name and worker count are written on the ground.
- Workers come from the idle population; withdrawn workers return to the population. When workers change, accumulated production is first processed at the old rate.
- The Migrant caravan brings +300 population from the nearest NPC settlement in 20 minutes for 1.500 food + 300 gold; 2 times a day, allowances renew at 03.00 (Turkey time).
Step by step
- See idle population, workers and horses on the population board of the Army screen; idle population above 100 can become soldiers or workers.
- In the Village Ring slide a field's bar, then press Send workers or Recall; ↺ undoes the change.
- In the 3D city tap a field outside the walls (e.g. Farm): the population board opens with that field's card selected; close it to return to the city.
- Check your horse count before training cavalry; if it is not enough, assign workers to the Pasture.
- If population is low press Call caravan; when it arrives, welcome it to the camp.
Key numbers
- Population limit
- Army capacity + 1.000 — Plus 250 × Food Tent level; workers are included in this limit.
- Population growth
- 60+ per hour — 60 + 10 × Founder's Yurt + 15 × Food Tent + 10 × (village stage − 1), times world speed; accumulates for at most 72 hours.
- Worker
- +%0,025 — Each worker adds 0,025% of the buildings' production to their field's resource; 600 workers +15%.
- At
- 500 + 250 × Raider Stables — Grows by 5 × Raider Stables + 0,1 × Pasture workers per hour, times world speed.
In worlds without the population rule, training still depends only on resources and army capacity.
